The Science of Speed (and relaxation)

At the Jr Jags HQ, we've been meeting for many months (virtually) and planning for the upcoming lacrosse season. Lot's of serious stuff is going on. That's how we came up with the theme of inteGRITy and "earn your spots." We're trying to accelerate growth with your future D1 athlete. This message is for you...the parent / grandparent / guardian / adult in the room...Your house is under siege.
You’re sitting there, staring at a lamp that should not still be alive. Three kids. A dog that runs through walls. And yet, the lamp stands. For now. And you’re thinking, “This is a countdown. I don’t know to what, but it’s a countdown.”
If your home currently feels less like a home and more like an escape room designed by caffeine, we have good news. And no, it’s not another screen. Screens are a trap. You know it. We know it. The screen knows it. Check Meta's stock price...the market knows it.
It’s Junior Jags Speed and Stick Training.
Why Speed / Stick Training On A Night Off?
Your kids have energy. Not “let’s go for a walk” energy. More like “why are they sprinting indoors” energy.
You could let them express that energy creatively...on walls, furniture, siblings, and your emotional stability, or you could put them on turf with a stick and a coach whose entire job is to say, “Again. Faster.”
We take that wild, “I’m absolutely not tired” confidence and funnel it into speed, agility, and stick skills until something beautiful happens.
By Friday night, they don’t argue about an 9:30 bedtime (okay... 11:30). They look at it like, “Yeah… fair.”
The Parent Bonus: The Folding Chair Experience
Here’s the part no one advertises, and frankly, they should.
You get:
A folding chair (if you bring one)
1 full hour of watching your kids run away from you.
Zero snack requests. Zero negotiations. Zero emotional summits.
You sit. You breathe. You hear nothing but whistles and distant shouting that is not your responsibility.
It’s not youth sports; it’s a soft reset for your nervous system.
Speed Training, because 2 practices a week isn't enough...
We've partnered with the Parisi Speed School to bring this professional training to your student athlete. Back in our days, we thought running fast was a natural gift; we've learned a lot since then. As it turns out, speed can be throttled, prohibited, or accelerated. Let's put the peddle down (while we parents relax).
We’re building better players. Better teammates. And better Friday nights for parents who just want everyone asleep by 9:30?
So if you’d like to protect your furniture, reclaim your sanity, and experience the rare joy of a quiet car ride home... you know what to do. And honestly? You’ve earned it.
Speed and stick training on Friday nights from 6-7 (not 67). Take the edge off, in a healthy way.
