The Junior Jags are absolutely thrilled to extend a huge, enthusiastic welcome to the new head girls' lacrosse coach at Garnet Valley High School, Caitlin Morgan! We've been hearing amazing things, and we can't wait to see the incredible impact she'll have on Garnet Valley lacrosse.
Coach Morgan is no stranger to the Central League, having led Penncrest for seven successful years, even taking them to the PIAA 3A finals in 2023 – a year she was named Phillylacrosse.com Co-Coach of the Year! She then brought her talents to Wilmington University as an assistant coach, helping them reach the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference semifinals. Talk about a winning pedigree!
As a Penncrest grad and West Chester University star herself, Coach Morgan truly understands the rich tradition and high standards of lacrosse in our area. She's stepping into big shoes, following the great work of Kate Henwood and Jenny Dooley, and we know she's ready to continue building on that legacy.
We're especially excited to hear about her goals: developing strong connections with our youth programs, focusing on team culture, sound fundamentals, enhancing lacrosse IQ, and fostering a team-first mentality. We believe that building from the ground up with a strong community connection is key to continued success!
Welcome to the Garnet Valley Lacrosse community, Coach Morgan! The Junior Jags are excited for the young ladies in the great sport of lacrosse and are looking forward to a future filled with hard work, fun, and success on the field! Go Jags!
